knew wheather they came or whiether they went and knew not what they were doing or what to do but droped down on the first seat they come to, with a dangerous attacked of home sickness. I was told by one of the seniors that it was sung (or part of it; (it was enlarged this year)) when he entered college and he thought it was the most doleful thing he ever heard the words together with the tune the old cow died on made him sick and turned his thoughts twords home. This time shot stones beans &c. was thrown by the Sophomores at the freshmen mingled with the cry of fresh hesh milk song &c. The next morning the freshmen brot the same warlike missils to some extent and shot, (peigion shot) stones, & rotton apples tomatoes were thrown back to some extent. But Friday morning the freshmen were fully prepared and threw tomatoes (only soft) rotton apples shot
