send me a barrel of apples & other things. As for the apples I think you had not better send them for apples are nearly as cheep here as in Conneaut and the express-charges would be very high for a barrel of apples they can be bought here for $2 00 a barrel ie. good winter apples and fall apples for twentyfive to fourty cents per bushel according to the quality. About the other things you may send them if you wish I know I would like them I would like them all for that matter but it will not pay to send the apples, and rob yourself at that. And I dont suppose you have any grapes or peaches to send I feel greatful to you for thinking of me I suppose you knew how good fruit would taste to me from home. Were the graps good this year.
