Upon looking I find that I will be compelled to wait until tomorrow befor mailing this I attended the junior exhibition on the 29th. and the commencements of the Medical and Law Departments held respectively in the forenoon and afternoon. The exercises consisted of a prayr conferring of degrees and address by the graduating class and the music by the Detroit Orchestra Opera House Band nice music and plenty of it I herd it play on University Day at the Junior Ex. and all day at commencement It is the best band I ever saw [At head of sheet, upside-down]: They have my name James, Town &c in the catalogue. You will see my chums name C.C. Cochrane.
