Sister Mary, my wife has given you the details of one of the Holmes family who I suppose you have some knowledge of, consequently I cannot say much about them as I have not seen any changes for the better. One thing I can say that is they are all here yet and enjoy good health. Business prospects are not encouragin and how things will be at the end of another year is beyond my comprehension. There has been a way so far for us and I still think we will yet live if others do. We have a Coumfortable House to live in and it has required something to get, but this is not the end it requires something to put into it and some folks think these things will come at a wink or nod. I have to nod twise before it comes. & then I do not get it. Our house is inside is Oak Graned, finish. and all completed except doors for 2 Clossets, and the plan of it is thus [diagram] A. Holmes
