May, MONDAY 9, 1864 Got up before light this morning and got in readiness to march. Marched at 6 1/2 o'clock. On team guard. Marched through Carnstown New Town and Middletown. Camped in the edge of a woods near Cedar creek. Weather very warm. Commensed building bridge over Cedar Creek. TUESDAY 10. In camp near cedar Creek. A rumor in camp that a guerrilla was to be hung. The bridge over Cedar Creek being repaired. A guard posted on the bank of the Creek to prevent bathing between 10 A M & 4 P M. Weather very warm. WEDNESDAY 11. Routed out this morning before roll-call to get rations and get in readiness to march. The 34th. marched in the rear of the baggage train Camped at night about [2?] miles from Woodstock. [A squad?] of our Calvary had [arrived?]]
