June, FRIDAY 17, 1864 Routed out this morning before light and ordered to get breakfast and be in readiness to march in 1/2 hour. Expect to see some fighting to day. A baggag train being sent to Martinsburg. Came up with Crooks division about 2 o'clock. Artillery fireing commensed about 4 o'clock PM SATURDAY 18. Report of G A Carlton Henry was wounded to day. we had been on the skirmish line The enemy advanced and we were compelled to fall back. he was taken to the rear and placed in an ambulance SUNDAY 19.
