Saving...
there is twenty five companies here now and more coming every day. our quarters is in the fair grounds about two miles and ahalf west of burlington. our tents are made out of pine lumber each tent is large enoug for one company and divided off into bunks large enoug for two too sleep in. so we have plenty of straw and all that brought quilts or blankets with them have just about as good a place to sleep as they had at home. we have eight less in our company now than we had when we left home. one deserted the same day we got here another one wouldnt take the oath when it come to swearing them in. the rest was thrown out on account of their age. I do not know as I have anything more to write at present I want some of you to write direct your letters to Camp Waren Company E 6th Regiment. Oliver Boardman
