Saving...
wel I dont know that I have much more to tell you the health in the camp is pretty good taking all things in consideration. our Captain got back afew days ago safe and sound I dont expect I am telling you anything new when I tell you that Dave Cone has gone home and is asldier no more poor fellow he never had the grit that I gave him credit for at first. he stood soldiering pretty well the first day I think but ever since then ever since the day we left Ottumwa he ceased to be a happy man I expect the happiest day he saw while he was soldiering was the day that he got his discharge papers but I expect I have said more than I ought about him. he has been sick agreat deal and that will discourage anybody. E. Hill has got a discharge also and gone home I expect you know him he used to be jeweler there in Albia
