than fording anyhow, but it was not long till they changed their minds the first man that undertook to walk it sliped off and went in about waist deep and all that tried the experiment fared the same way about the time they would get half way cross they would loose their Equalabraham and down they would go to hunt for bottom. there was no serious damage done to any one, but the bath was rather acold one and the night was not avery warm one. Still as dreary as it was there was room for many alaugh to to come in. Well I believe I have written trash enough, but if I thought you had the blues, as most of fellows are apt to have after being sick I would write you a good long letter yet but I dont hardly think thats the case. so I will just write afew more facts and close. We have been paid two months pay since I wrote last and there is a prospect of being paid four more in afew days I hope
