June 8th,,Troops arriving and boarding the boats. Fleet ready to leave in the evening. June 9th,, Moved out going down the river [Fonched?] at Helena at 1.P.M. Stoped about five minutes Lay up for the night few miles above the mouth of White river June 10th,, Shoved off at 3 1/2 A M leaving some of the pickets on shore Passed Napoleon at the mouth of Arkansas river at 7 A.M Tied up on the Miss side at 7 P.M. Company "E" on Picket Called in three or four hours afterwards Fleet Moved on down the river stopping Couple of hours at lake Providence on Lousianna side. Few troops in camp at that place. June 11th,, Left Lake Providence at 3 1/2 A M. Came in sight of Youngs Points at mouth of Yazoo river at half past ten. Went up the Yazoo river twelve miles. landed
