April, Tuesday 19, 1864 Near Wood ville Ala I wash my Cloths to day we had Brig drill in the after noon with knapsack an it was a very hard drill it is a very Pleasa[nt] day April, Wednesday 20, 1864 Near Wood ville Ala I am on Picket guard on the rail road 1 mile East of Wood Ville we have had a very good time Picket today
