June, Wednesday 22, 1864 near Kenesaw mountain Ga the rebles has Shell us pretty hard to day we drew some Clothing to day I drew 1 pr paintaloons 1 pr drawers we drew ration too we drew whiskey 1 keg of lager beer fr the Regt the officers all got glouriously drunk the men did not git but very little of the beer. it has be a very pleasant weather to day June, Thursday 23, 1864 Near Kenesaw mountain Ga I was taken very sick at mid night last with the Cramp Colic. it staid by me untill late this after noon there has been heavy Canonading on boaths to day Co. B. had one man Kiled & one wounded & Co E had one wounded all three of them by one shell our Co. had to fall back in the rear of Co H to give room for a Section of [20 lbs parets?] to form in
