July, Sunday 10, 1864 [?] very quiet this morning except the excitement of the enamy evuating there works on this Side of river, we only moved our Skirmish line up to. the river, there is order to prepare for General in Spection to morow, our Regt,, worked most all night last, a build[ing] Breast works. we drew three days' ration to day. it is reported that we have 2 army Corps acro[ss] the river to day July, Monday 11, 1864 Near Chattahoochie river Ga. I am on guard duty last night and to day at Brigade Head quarters. pleasant guard duty, our Division had Gen,, in Spection to day it rain some las night & to day. the [4?] Div,, of the 15 A.C. is the march to the right this after noon. everything is quiet in the front to day
