Sept. Tuesday 6, 1864. Near Jonesboro, Ga We had a very hard rain storm last night it commences raining at dark and rained all night, the Army of the Tenn. moved back to JonesBoro last night after night we did not move to day, we moved about 8 miles to day Sept. Wednesday 7, 1864. On Lick Creak, Ga At 7 oclock this morning we strung out our teams ready to march we did not get started till 9 A.M. Soon after I started broke the tung out of my wagon so I had considerable of trouble to day we travled about 8 miles to day & got in to camp about [?] oclock P.M. this
