letter again. Well my dear wife I only wish my arms were round you this minute. O. how long till it may be so. Well God keep and bless you always remember that only towards you and my own home are my choicest thoughts. Those I keep stored up to dwell on alone Ah! when this war ends won't I be a happy man. Love to all friends. Tell Mary & Lizzie I have not forgotten them because I don't write. Well good bye my own A.R. Butler
