at yaso citty if that is the case we are going to wait a while till he advances to asist us 1 of January 1863 we are camped on the river 1/2 miles up on the other side waiting for some other plans of atack 5 pm ordered on board the boat again ley down for the night found our selves 2 miles down the river in the morning 2 are lying here I think (Upside-down, at bottom of page:-) TUESDAY, December 25th, 1855.
