throwed about 20 Shels into their rifle pits and they did not bother us any more we had to hurry and get done for they wanted to have a redgement in there to morrow the morters are throwing shels into the town & I dont think they get any rest 10 nothing strange this morning the rebels try to drive our boys out of the rifle pits we made last night but they cant there is a good deal of fireing going on and our bateries
