pare them over night, + keep them in water till wanted - then put them into boiling water - turn it off when they are done + let them dry off -- If for a potato loaf, they must certainly be pared before boiling, then beat them up in the pot, with a little salt, a little milk + some butter -- If you wish the loaf browned + the oven is full, make pretty large cakes, rub them over with egg, + fry them in butter --
