Biscuit Puddings Take five eggs in the shell their weight in loaf sugar, the same of butter & the same of flour beat the eggs well & add the sugar which must be [previously?] sifted soften the butter and beat it up with them then add the flour & mix it all up well put into [fire?] [cups?] & bake one hour in a [illegible] oven To Preserve Oranges Whole Prepare a syrup - to 6 oranges 1/2 lb of sugar. Put some of the lump sugar into cold water & let it simmer & thin it and put in the oranges and the peel simmer 10 minutes, take out the oranges & the put in more sugar boil quickly 1/2 an hour let them stand till cold & just before that to [illegible] pour the syrup over the oranges the put on [illegible] the peel cut as then as [illegible]
