For Cleaning Carpets Put a pint of Amonia in a bucket of tepid water, & scrub with a brush & a little soft soap. Clarified Lemonade 1/2 pint of lemon juice, 3/4 lbs of loaf sugar, 4 lemon peels, 1 Qt of boiling water. Let this stand till cold, then add 1 pint of boiling milk. Let it stand all night, then pass it through a jelly bag till quite clear. To clean Marble Chimney Pieces. Take a little Putty powder, & mix it with a little water, then rub it all over the marble with a piece of rag (the marble may be any colour)
