Jumbles. 1 cup butter 2 " sugar 2 eggs 1 sour or sweet milk 4 to 4 1/2 cups flour 1 teaspoon soda 2 " cream tartar 1 " vanilla (Salt) Soft Molasses Cookies. 1 cup sugar 1 " molasses 1/2 " each of butter & lard 2 well beaten eggs 1 level teaspoon of ginger 1 " " " vinegar 1 " teaspoon " soda dissolved in a little hot water Mix with flour to make a soft dough.
