nuts to remainder. This will prevent nuts sinking to bottom of pan. [Fruit Cake] 1/2 cup of butter (creamed with 1 cup of sugar 3/4 " of sweet milk 4 eggs beaten separately. (The whites should be added last) 1 qt. of pineapple without the juice 2 lbs of raisins stewed with 1/2 cup of sugar 1 " of nut meats dredged with a little flour. 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/2 " " allspice 1/2 " " nutmeg 1/2 " " cloves 3/4 " " B. powder 5 cups of flour. Mix in the usual manner and bake in one or two loaves for 1 hr in a moderate oven.
