Corn Bread 1 cup cornmeal 1 " flour 4 teaspoons of B. powder 3 tablespoons of sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups of milk 2 tablespoons of melted shortening 1 egg Mix and sift dry ingredients add milk, shortening and beaten egg; beat well and pour into greased shallow pan. Bake in a hot oven 25 minutes. [B. powder Biscuits] 2 cups flower 1/2 teaspoon salt 4 teaspoons B. powder 1 tablespoon of shortening 3/4 cup of milk
