Soda box recipe. Chocolate Cake Measure 2 cups sifted flour 1 teaspoon soda 1/4 teaspoon salt Sift together 3 times Add 2 eggs well beaten Work 1/2 cup butter with spoon until creamy. Add 1 cup sugar gradually beaten after each addition until light and fluffy. Add 2 sq of unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled Add 1 cup of sour milk alternately with flour beating until smooth after each addition. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake 25 min in a 350 oven.
