Butter Sponge Cake 2 eggs 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp flavoring 1/2 cup milk 1 tbsp butter 1 cup flour 1 tsp baking powder Beat eggs until very light Then beat in salt, sugar and flavoring Beat in milk which is boiling hot and which has been heated with butter Sift flour once before measuring. Then sift flour and baking powder together and beat into the egg mixture.
