Another cheap dish Take 2 or 3 pickled herrings put them into a stone jar, fill it up with potatoes and a little water and let it bake in the oven till it is done. Flemish Cream 1 1/2 oz of Isinglass put into a pint of water. let it stand & dissolve - add the yolks of 2 eggs - 1/2 pint of white wine, the juice of one lemon - sweeten to your taste - boil it 5 minutes & strain it into a mould - wet the mould first.
