Preserve a la Mode Prepare the carrot in the same manner as for soup. When it is made into a good pulp, take 1 lb of pulp to 1 lb of sugar. & the juice & rinds of 2 lemons. Add the juice when it is nearly cold, & take off the rind upon the sugar. It should boil about 1/2 an hour. Mrs Burrows.
