Afterwards taking a 'Royal Oak' omnibus I came out here to Paddington, to see Mr & Mrs Gilbert, and here I am to-night, and here they insist upon my remaining. June 11th/56. This morning I took a walk in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Passed by Rotten Row- the great horseback ride - & out of the the Park, at Hyde Park Corner. Saw Apsley House and Wellington's monument.
