Fig Paste (From Mrs Shepherd 2 ounces pulverized senna - half pound of figs chopped fine - mix them with molasses, let it be as thick as to let a spoon stand straight in it. one teaspoonfull at a dose Hair oil from Miss Shepherd Fry out the marrow, strain it into cold water, take it out of that & put it into a tin dish with some Castor oil beat it till perfectly white, then add 4 worth of oil of Lavender White wax sprinkled among laces muslins &c keeps them from turning yellow. Camphor keeps things from changing their colour.
