Compound lime water One pd of lime put in a large clean vessel, wooden or earthen, then take one pint of the dust of lignumvitae, a double handful of sassafras root as much sassaparilla - boil it in one gallon of water hard as it can boil; keep filling up the vessel so as to keep a Gallon, then strain it off gradually on the stone lime Stir it until cold then skim it every day - till it is perfectly clear Then bottle it - take a wine glass full at a time. For the Piles. Take the seeds from the Burrs of the burdock & pound them & mix it with molasses - & take a tea spoonful at a time, as occasion requires. - an excellent remedy. The bark of a willow tree burned to ashes & mixed with strong vinegar & applied to warts, corns or excrescenses will remove them
