Butterscotch Pie {1/2 cup sugar caramelized 1/4 [cup] water 4 tabs. butter scald milk + add {1 3/4 cup milk 3 egg yolks beaten 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 teas. salt 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/4 cup cold milk 1/2 teas vanilla} cook till thick 3 egg white for meringue.
