then mill quite thin and bake in a quick oven - spice to your taste. Lafayett Cake. Lottie [Styer?] 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar 8 eggs beaten separately, 2 oz of butter 1/4 teaspoon of soda 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, dissolve soda in boiling water. Bake in jelly pans. Filling for [illegible] cake. 2 eggs leaving out the white of one, the rind and juice of one lemon grated, 2 oz of butter creamed, 1 cup of white sugar. Tea Cake 1 cup sour cream, half cup of sugar, 2 eggs, 2 cups of flour - 1 teaspoonful of soda - bake in shallow pans, and cut in squares. Scant soda and a little more sugar
