Green tomato Higdon Pickle 1/2 bushels green tomato pealed take 12. large green pepers 8 small onion chop them all two cups salt mix it and let it stand 3 hours to drain, then press a little at a time through a coarse towel add 10. cts cinnamon 10 cts Clove 1 large cup mustard seed, 1/2 cup celery seed 1 large spoonful black pepper mix all together and pack in jars not tight have 5 pts boiling vinegar 2. lbs sugar, pour it over boiling hot tie up and it is ready for use
