One Starch Cake 2 cups of sugar 2 cup of flour 1 cup of cornstarch 1 cup of butter. 1 cup of sour milk 1/2 teaspoonful of cream tarter whites of 7 eggs. Sugar Caromels (Mrs. Wallae 1 plb. & half of brown sugar - 1 cup of cream a half cake of Bakers chockelate, a lump of butter - boil all together - pour thin in buttered pans & cut in small squares.
