Saving...
Tuesday January 1st 1878. It was late when we got up this morning I was doing house-work all the forenoon and in the afternoon practiced. Mother and Rob went to town. [Will?] was over a little while. I was busy knitting in the evening. Wednesday January 2nd 1878 I practiced a little this forenoon and helped do the work, Mother did a little washing in the afternoon. I went over and took my music lesson. I was at the [Pinney?] house awhile. I took supper at home and Rob. Ott, and Ike [Gometson?] came there to take we girls out to Irishes. We spent a very pleasant evening. I was nearly sick with a cold which spoiled the evening for me. Weather cold and frosty. [up side of page] Cousin John & Mollie came home to [illegible] today Thursday January 3rd 1878 I was just able to be around I would not give up but helped some with the work and put in two hours practice. Mother doctored me up and put me to bed early
