Tuesday October 22nd 1878 I sewed in the forenoon and Mother was gone to town in the afternoon. I baked the bread and did house-work all the afternoon. I was too tired to do anything but knit in the evening. Rob came home at noon. Wednesday October 23rd 1878 Mother and Hatt went to town in the phaeton and I got the dinner nearly ready myself. After dinner Hatt and I went out to May Lathrops. Rob went along to the west farm on horseback. It was time to get supper when we got home. I knit all the evening. Thursday October 24th 1878 As soon as I got my share of the work done I went over to Aunt Mellissas and stayed till after dinner. She and I called on Kitty Kaufman and then went up to Beattys to see Sallie. I stopped at Mrs
