Saving...
Thursday December 26th 1878 Mother went to town before dinner she was going to Pinneys and in the afternoon to the funeral of Mrs James Smith. I was sick all day I felt better in the afternoon than I did before dinner and knit some. Went to bed early. Weather a little more moderate. Friday December 27th 1878 I did not feel much better today. In the afternoon Ella Williams or now Mrs Rhodes called Hattie went back to town with her and stayed over to Wins all night. I finished my stocking and began knitting on a sock for Otto. Saturday December 28th 1878 As soon as Hatt came home this morning she began the working. I did some cake baking before dinner, and Mother cleaned two rooms up stairs. In the afternoon we cleaned Cattrells room and put down a rag carpet. Win came over and the young folks went down to Robinsons to spend the evening. I did not feel able to go. I knit all the evening.
