24 Tuesday February 16th 1875. Will took me to school and came after me in the afternoon. Cousin Jim and Emma started home today. As soon as we had eaten supper Will and I started for a sleigh ride. We went eight miles in the country to church and did not get home till eleven oclock I spent a very pleasant evening, and saw a protracted meeting when every body was worked up to the highest pitch of excitement. Wednesday February 17th 1875. I rode to school and back again today. After supper Will and I went down town in the cutter the sleighing was splendid and the moon shone as bright as day. I attended to some errands for myself and Jennie. And we stopped at Etts a little while before we came home. I wrote a long letter to Lizzie Lindley today. And in the evening I sent Uncle Albert a postal card telling him we would come down to Broadwell on Friday. Thursday February 18th 1875. Will took me to school this morning, and Laura went with me to spend the day. Will came after us in the evening. After supper Will and I ground the sausage and at nine oclock Ira hitched the
