105 Monday September 13th 1875. Mother went to town this morning. I put up tomatoes and Hatt cleaned up the house. We had a house-ful of company for dinner which made lots of work. As soon as we got the dinner dishes washed Hatt and I went to take a ride and invite some company for tomorrow night We had an early supper after we came home and went to the depot to see the Illinois folks of. After attending to some errands in town we came on home. One of our boarders came tonight. This has been a splendid day. I wrote a letter to Billy tonight. Tuesday September 14th 1875. There was a prospect of rain this morning and we were in a state of mind. But we sent some invitations this morning Hatt and I went to Folsoms to invite the folks and got caught in the rain and had to change clothes before we could go to work. I baked twelve cakes and did some other work. Late in the afternoon I went to town in the buggy and got some more things we needed tonight. Ate my supper as soon as I got home and then we
