Tuesday September 28th 1875. I worked all day getting ready for the party It was a splendid day. Aunty Walker came in the afternoon and we made her stay and she was so much help to us. I went to town alone in the buggy late in the afternoon. Tom and Ett did not come to the party after we got it up for them It made us feel blue for a while But Charlie came on the ten train and every body was glad to see him and we had a splendid time. There was about fifty here and we danced till nearly three. A letter from Maggie McKee. Wednesday September 29th 1875. Charlie and I went to the valley this morning and did not get back till nearly two oclock. But we went the rounds. We had an early supper and Mother and I took Charlie to the depot. Tom and Ett with Grand-ma and Grand-pa went away tonight. We had quite a war of words amongst us over there. Went to bed early. Father went up to Auntys tonight.
