Saving...
180 Saturday November 27th 1875. After the work was done up I had a little time to practice before dinner. Hattie went to town as soon as she ate her dinner as we were both to take a lesson this afternoon. I went as soon as I got the work done up. I got a piece of new music. "The Evergreen Waltz." I stopped and got Lee a pair of boots and some cotton flannel. It was nearly dark when I got home. I helped do up the work and practiced a little. Hattie got home about nine oclock. Mr Fry came tonight. Sunday November 28th 1875. I did nothing but do house-work and practice a little Mother and Lee started to to take Hattie to the valley. But did not get any farther than Uncle Jims, and met the folks there. Winnie was over to dinner and Uncle Will and the children were here a few moments in the afternoon The weather was quite mild in the morning But got intensely cold at night. Hattie got back to the valley in good time. A year ago tonight I went sleighing and Owen was along.
