132. Charlie. About three oclock Mother and I went to town in the buggy. We got alot of groceries and a bolt of sheeting. It was five oclock when we got home. Jim and Mollie Folsom with a Miss Wright from West Liberty called in the evening. Mother went to see Mrs McGovern who is sick. After my callers went home I mended the clothes and put them away and wrote a letter to Miss Lewis before going to bed. A remarkably pleasant day. Friday December 2nd 1875. Mother went to the valley today I worked all day at the house-work. I hemmed some towels this morning. I had a letter from Billy Reed today. I fixed some supper for Mrs McGovern and Mr Bently took it down to her. Mother and Lee got home just at night and I had supper ready. I helped clear up the dishes and then got ready to go to town. Lee and I went to the Zets and they had a good programme. After society we went down to Mygatts to the party. The night was intensely dark. It has been a foggy, misty day.
