Sunday June 9- 1935 I went to church with Elenor. after dinner slept awhile. Later took a ride with the Byingtons out near North Liberty. The Gays took Harriet home. I wrote Winnie in the evening. A nice bright day. Monday June 10- 1935 I began work on a rug I have to finish. Soon after dinner Cora took Hattie & Mrs Gay to the home and left me at Elmers to visit Aunt Erma I had a letter from Piketon telling of Mrs Sallie Cooper being killed in an auto accident. A letter from Erma Herriott. Ott called to tell me a letter from LeGrand says he is to go to Baltimore. Mrs Gay a party tonight Tuesday June 11- 1935 This was Grand Mothers birth day we used to get together for the day. I worked at my rug all AM. slept a while in PM. William took me over there to spend the evening with Ott while they were away. Wednesday June 12- 1935 I worked on the rug part of the day May changed the furniture in my room. Letter from Mattie Stitt I rode to Hills and back with the Byingtons after supper. Very warm day. I wrote Will Work & [Liv?] & Dora Brown letters and cards to Winnie & Lorna & Edith in evening.
