Saving...
Saturday July 20 - 1935. I was busy here. Very warm. I slept in the afternoon. Aunt Emma about the same. George Gay + family home from the west. They were here in the evening. Sunday July 21st 1935 I rode to church with the Jensens. I spent most of the afternoon in bed. I should have gone to the funeral of Ed [Whitrell?] who died in California But had no one to go with. Very hot with a shower at six o clock. The [Bejingstens?] drove to Independence. Hattie went with them. I was afraid to attempt going. Monday July 22 - 1935 Same cooler. I wrote [will work?] and card to Lorna. I did some sewing and slept awhile in the afternoon. An intensely warm day. Mr. Gay home in PM. Tuesday July 23 - 1935 Mattie [Parks?] called early to say Aunt Emma had just passed away. I wrote Lana Winnie Mathis Still Ida Le Grand + Alice [Cardan?] I then telephoned most of the cousins. I did some sewing and slept in PM. Lillian came for me at 5.30. Later we all went up to Whetstones. A surprise for my 84th birthday. Wednesday July 25 - 1935 I wrote to [Greer?] McCallister + card to Gertrude Mitchtell. I sewed some. Mr. [Wehler?] worked for Ms. Gay. They bought the rug down she bought for me. Slept in PM. After supper I went with the [Bejingstens?] to call at Andersons.
