Thursday October 24th 1935 Rob & Cora left early for Kansas City. I sat in Hatties room while Alice cleaned mine. Ott & William drove to Des Moines and were back to attend the supper at The church. Hattie went with The Ensigns. Mollie here in evening. Friday October 25th 1935 I sat up a couple of times. I can see I am stronger Hattie away in PM to a Pension board meeting. Saturday October 26th 1935 Hattie invited Ott up for lunch and to listen to the football game played at Champaign Ill. Iowa boys won. William came for Ott at 5 oclock. We enjoyed his stay. Sunday October 27th 1935 Hattie went to church with The Ensigns. I did not get up till after dinner. I wrote cards to Laura, Jesse Henderson, Winnie, Emma Herriott & Ott Seibert. Late in afternoon The Byingtons & Elmer & Ida came. Rob & Cora home at 6 PM. Monday October 28th 1935 In bed a greater part of the day. Hattie to meeting in PM. Cora busy here at home. Tuesday October 29th 1935 I lay in sun porch in AM. Hattie down town. Letters from Mrs Falk, Ida, Emma Herriott, & Laura Mahana. Wrote card to Mrs Falk. Wednesday October 30th 1935 On sun porch in AM. I read and slept in PM. The girls to their crotchet club. I sat up awhile in the evening. letter from LeGrand.
