A [illeg] thru the years of events that may be of interest to the family. Beginning January 1972 [a "typo;" should be 1872] this was a year of [illeg] life in the care of a family and the many many people, relatives and friends who cause to visit to spend the day in the night [illeg] of cooking washing ironing cleaning and sewing. Iowa taught i country school from Jan to April. Made a months visit in the summer to Delavan, Ill. and taught again beginning in Nov. No [travl?] in the immediate family Uncle Gilman Folsom died in the summer and his mother who seemed very old, a few months later. For the year 1973 [a "typo," should be 1873] Iowa taught a country school the first few months. the [part?] of the year was all account of people going and coming Grandma Lucas died in the summer.
