17. Friday February 4th 1876. I put in the whole forenoon doing house work and getting Lee ready to go to the valley for Hattie. As soon as I had done my dinner I got ready to go to town I took a music lesson from two till three from Anna Hurd, "The Rainbow Polka." I spent the afternoon and took supper at McCalls. Rob was invited over but did not come. Mr Chase came down to see me a moment while I was there in regard to going to the party to Winnies tomorrow night. Ann and I went up to society. Rob was there and came home with me. Hattie was here and her and I visited till nearly midnight Saturday February 5th 1876. It was late when we got up and it took Hatt and I all the forenoon to do the work while Mother went to town. Charlie McCall was here all the afternoon and we got the arrangements all made for another party. We all went over to Winnies in the evening Mr Chase and I rode over. It was a splendid
