Saving...
24. Sunday February 20th 1876. Mother has been married thirty one years today It has been a beautiful day and we had a houseful of company. Hattie with Aunt Erma and family came. They had only just got here when Aunty and Uncle Walker came. I felt terribly but helped with the work all day. But as soon as the folks went away I laid down on the sofa where I stayed till bed-time. Monday February 21st 1876. As soon as I got the work done up this morning I sat down and finished up Hattie's dress, and in the afternoon cleaned the house all up. Lee went after Hattie and they got home just before supper was ready. Most of the folks went to town to different entertainments. Mr Chase was here a few moments in the early part of the evening We girls did not got to bed very early. We had a jolly visit with Pottle and Bently after they came from town. Weather wintry.
