25. Tuesday February 22nd 1876. A real pleasant day But all we young folks are half sick I just put in the time any way during the day Soon after supper we got ready to go to the ball. Got up there before nine oclock We did have a splendid time and got home between two and three oclock. Wednesday February 23rd 1876 We got up early and got Hatt started back to the valley. It was a beautiful day. Mother did the washing and I the work though I did not feel much like it. Mother went to town, a little while late in the afternoon. We had company for supper a Mrs Allen from Washington Co. I went to bed early. Weather beautiful as summer.
