39 Tuesday April 4th 1876. It was not a very pleasant day but we did the washing. I cut out some work in the afternoon and went down to Mrs McGoverns to ask for her irons tomorrow. When I came home I helped get supper. I sewed at night. Wednesday April 5th 1876. We ironed this forenoon and sewed in the afternoon and some in the evening. We also played a game of whist at night. Thursday April 6th 1876. I sewed every spare minute I had all day. In the evening Charlie McCall was here and we played whist. Charlie goes to Desmoines in the morning. I got part of the music I ordered tonight. Friday April 7th 1876. We sewed all of the forenoon and immediately after dinner We girls dressed ourselves to go to town. Called on Mrs Beeson Mrs Hand, and then Hattie went to Winnies and I called on Anna Irish and Jim Templin and wife. I took
